Artists understand and appreciate life in ways that the rest of the world may not, and yet have traditionally assessed themselves and their worth by the values and standards of that more limited world. That awareness was the initial inspiration for a series of pieces I have written on learning lessons from our creative work and our artistry to take into our lives.
